Chairperson, Centre for Corporate Governance and Citizenship
Vasanthi Srinivasan is an Associate Professor in the area of Organisational Behaviour and Human Resource Management. She is presently the Chair of the Centre for Corporate Governance and Citizenship.
She has a Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations from XLRI, Jamshedpur and a Fellow in Management from IIMB. Prior to Joining IIMB, she worked at Wipro Limited and The P&P Group, a Bangalore- based consulting organization. Her research interests are in the field of teaching business ethics, understanding organizational processes that build ethical behaviours and CSR in SME’s.
She was a British Council Visiting Scholar at the International Centre for Corporate Social Responsibility at the Nottingham University Business School in 2007 and developed a website www.teachcsr.com , which intends to promote teaching in Business Ethics and CSR among faculty of business schools in India. The website currently has about 300 registered users.

Chiranjib Sen is a professor in the economics and social sciences area at IIMB. He received his M.A and Ph.D. in Economics from Stanford University, M.A. in Economics from Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi and B.A. (Hons.) in Economics from Presidency College, University of Calcutta.
Dr.Sen has held professional appointments in a number of leading institutions. He has been a Professor at the Centre for Development Studies, Trivandrum; Harry Reynolds International Visiting Professor at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, Visiting Scholar, Institute of International Development, Harvard University; and Visiting Processor, Dept. of Economics, Vassar College, New York, among others.

P.D. Jose is an Assistant Professor in the Corporate Strategy and Policy Area at IIMB. His research interests include Strategy Formulation and Implementation, Crisis Management and Organisational Renewal, Competitive Implications of Environmental Regulations and Environmental Management Systems. In addition to IIMB, he has been associated with the Administrative Staff College of India, Hyderabad, IIM Kozhikode and IIM Ahmedabad.
Prof. Jose is a Fellow in Management from the IIM Ahmedabad. He has a Post Graduate Diploma in Forestry Management from the Indian Institute of Forest Management, Bhopal and a Bachelors Degree in Physics and Computers from the Indian Institute of Science, Mumbai.
He is a member of the International Planning Board of the Greening of Industries Network, which is a world-wide network of industries, international organisations and universities. He was a Fulbright Fellow at the Massachusettes Institute of Technology, Boston and Canon Flager Business School, North Carolina, during 1999-2000. He was also Visiting Researcher at the Kennedy School, Harvard University from Oct-Dec 2004.
He has been associated as a consultant with several government agencies, state governments and international organisations.

Padmini Srinivasan padmini@iimb.ernet.in
Padmini Srinivasan is a Professor in the area of Finance and Control at IIMB. She holds a Master's Degree in Commerce from Bombay University and a Ph.D from the National Law School of Indian University, Bangalore. She is a Fellow Member of ICAI and Associate Member of the ICSI. Her areas of research are Corporate Disclosure Practices, Corporate Governance, Managerial Accounting and Income Tax.
Prior to joining IIMB, she was in the industry for more than ten years, including a brief stint in Indonesia. She has held senior positions and has varied experience in the areas of business finance, financial accounting, planning, taxation and company law. In addition to IIMB, she has been a faculty at the National Law School of India University, India and International Institute of Information Technology Bangalore.

Rishikesha T. Krishnan is a Professor in the Corporate Strategy & Policy Area & Jamuna Raghavan Chair Professor of Entrepreneurship at the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIMB), India. His research interests are in the areas of strategy, innovation and competitiveness.
Prof. Krishnan has been a member of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Science and Technology Task Force, the Advisory Council of CII’s National Innovation Mission, and on the jury of Nasscom’s innovation awards. He has been a member of government committees to review the performance of the National Innovation Foundation, and to study “The Future of Aviation and Aeronautics in India.” He has done external reviews of the plan schemes of India’s Department of Scientific & Industrial Research and the Department of Biotechnology’s SBIRI scheme.
Prof. Krishnan is an independent director on the boards of Smartlink Network Systems Ltd., Sundaram BNP Paribas Asset Management Company Ltd., Halbit Avionics Pvt. Ltd., (a joint venture between HAL and Elbit Systems) and Milestone Religare Investment Advisors Pvt. Ltd. He is a trustee ofthe Foundation for Excellence India Trust (www.ffe.org).
Professor Krishnan’s book From Jugaad to Systematic Innovation: The Challenge for India, published in February 2010 received good reviews (see http://jugaadtoinnovation.blogspot.com for details).
Professor Krishnan was the Fall semester 2008 Visiting Scholar at the Center for the Advanced Study of India, University of Pennsylvania.
Prof. Krishnan has been a consultant to, or conducted management development programs for, British Telecom, Daimler Chrysler, Wipro, Siemens, Sasken Communication Technologies, the Murugappa Group, the Aditya Birla Group, Kochi Refineries and the Governments of India and Karnataka.
Prof. Krishnan worked for four years as the General Manager of a small high technology company in the telecom sector from 1987-91. During this period, he also co-founded a software company working on specialized engineering application software. From March 2001 to October 2001, he worked with a software product start-up in the knowledge management space founded by an IIMB alumnus.
Prof. Krishnan holds an M.Sc. in Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology at Kanpur; and an M.S. in Engineering-Economic Systems (now Management Science & Engineering) from Stanford University. He obtained his doctoral qualification from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, where his thesis proposal won the outstanding thesis proposal award instituted by the Industrial Finance Corporation of India.
Prof. Krishnan is an active member of Globelics and Asialics, international fora that focus on the understanding of innovation systems and competitiveness. He has served on the editorial advisory boards of several journals. Apart from papers published in academic journals, Prof. Krishnan’s articles have appeared in the Economic Times, Business Line and the Financial Express. He has presented his research at seminars at a number of reputed institutions such as Stanford University, London Business School, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and Hong Kong University of Science & Technology.

N Balasubramanian, aka Bala is a Visiting Faculty in the area of Finance and Control at the Indian Institute of management, Bangalore. He was formerly the Chairman of the Institute’s Centre for Corporate Governance and Citizenship and also the Founding Chair of its Centre for Development of Cases and Teaching Aids.
His three and a half decades of industry experience includes over twenty years of varied responsibilities in the Imperial Chemical Industries group of companies in India, and for a while in the United Kingdom, and a stint as Corporate Executive Vice President Finance at the diversified Wipro Corporation and a member of its Executive Board.
Bala has a PhD in Business Finance from Bombay University, is a Fellow of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, All India Management Association, and a member of several other professional bodies. Apart from teaching at the Institute, he has conducted Corporate Governance Programs for ONGC, TATA Group and ING Bank.
Bala is on the statutory and advisory boards of several companies. He is an Expert Panelist for World Bank - FAO Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research. He is also a Member of the Confederation of Indian Industry's National Council on Corporate Governance and the Indian Government's National Advisory Council on Accounting Standards and Task Force on Corporate Excellence through Governance.
In addition to these, he is a Distinguished Member of the JK Business School’s Centre for Corporate Governance and Sustainability, a Member of the Executive Council, International Society for Business, Ethics and Economics and of the Social Audit Panel, Fullerton India Credit Company
