The Global Compact (GC) and the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) are both
voluntary initiatives that play complementary roles in advancing universal
principles by promoting organizational accountability and improved
performance. The GRI G3 Guidelines offer globally recognized reporting
guidance that can help produce an excellent Communication on Progress (the
Compact's annual requirement of participants), and therefore recommended
for use by the Global Compact.
